Routine Maintenance

All Utility Companies and Manufacturers recommend an annual tune-up and maintenance on your heating and cooling equipment. Just like your car and other mechanical equipment, your system requires tune-ups and inspections to keep parts in good working condition. There are many good reasons why routine maintenance should be performed including but not excluded to:

It keeps the equipment operating as efficiently as possible. Generally speaking, proper maintenance will pay for itself by producing higher BTU/kilowatt. This energy saving will be reflected in your utility bills.
It reduces wear and tear on the equipment and can prevent an unplanned failure at a time when you might need your comfort most.
It keeps your equipment operating safely. Rusted and corroded flue pipes and/or heat exchangers emit poisonous gas (CO) which is called the "silent killer". Faulty electrical wiring starts numerous fires each year and should be inspected on a regular basis.
It guarantees your manufacturer's warranty (routine repairs are not covered due to lack of routine maintenance).
