Whether it's heating or cooling, Mitsubishi ductless units can turn any room, zone or your entire Rochester, New York home into an oasis of comfort.
Mitsubishi ductless is a modern and versatile comfort solution for any living space. It quickly and quietly cools any room or zone in your house and the hyper-heating inverter delivers endless warmth.
How Ductless Works
Maximize Your Comfort
There are many ways to configure this modern and versatile system for all your comfort needs. Highly efficient and effective, a ductless system is the ideal primary heating and cooling solution for your home or business.
How It Works
Ductless systems pump cooled or heated refrigerant directly to wall or ceiling-mounted air-handling unit, and each unit has its own wireless electronic temperature control system Here's how the system works in a single room application.
Indoor Unit uses refrigerant to cool or heat air and quietly streams it where you need it in the living room space.
Refrigerant and Electric Lines connect the two units through a small, 3" opening in the wall.
Outdoor Unit has an inverter driven heat pump that cools or warms refrigerant and sends it inside to an air handler through small lines.
Single Zone
This is the perfect application for those homes with specific rooms or zones that are more difficult to keep warm or cool than the rest of the house. Some of these areas include room additions, home offices, bedrooms, attics, you name it.
Multi-Zone
Unlike the single zone application, multi-zone is capable of keeping your entire home or multiple zones comfortable. This configuration also allows you to control each zone from a central location, thus allowing you to only heat and cool the zones you want to use.
DUCTLESS FOR ROW HOMES
Total Comfort Everywhere
Row homes around Rochester tend to be short on the additional space needed for the ductwork of a traditional heating and cooling system. It's just one reason why ductless is perfect for your home.
Advantages
The outdoor condensing unit has a similarly small footprint. About the size of a suitcase, the unit can be placed in a small alley, rooftop or porch, which is especially appealing for a row house or urban dwelling with little outdoor space.
Row homes tend to be big on charm, but a little short on living space. Since Mitsubishi ductless doesn't require that traditional, bulky ductwork you won't have to lose any of the aesthetic value of your home or any precious space.
Ductless saves you money. No bulky ductwork means a relatively easy install and the savings get passed along to the homeowner. Also, since there is no energy loss due to leaky ductwork, these systems are super efficient.
DUCTLESS FOR ADDITIONS
Problem Rooms & Zones Are No Problem For Ductless
Ductless doesn't have to be a whole house system. Sometimes you just need to easily heat and cool an additional space such as sunrooms, attics, basements, additions and more.
Single Zone Applications
Indoor Unit uses refrigerant to cool or heat air and quietly streams it where you need it in the living room space.
Refrigerant and Electric Lines connect the two units through a small, 3" opening in the wall.
Outdoor Unit has an inverter driven heat pump that cools or warms refrigerant and sends it inside to an air handler through small lines.
Why Ductless Is Perfect For These Applications
Sunrooms have an abundance of natural light and need to be cooled and heated differently from the rest of the house.
Additions or outbuildings are often a little short on additional room and lack the space required for big, bulky ductwork.
Some rooms are not regularly occupied and you can turn off the mini-split system and close the door to save money.
DUCTLESS FOR OLDER HOMES
Modernize Your Comfort & Keep That Historic Charm
When it comes to updating the HVAC system of an older home or structure, ductless is an affordable, non-invasive, energy saving choice. Ductless fixes drafty old buildings without infringing on aesthetics.
Duct"Less" Is More
NO DUCTWORK, NO PROBLEM
Often built before central heating and air conditioning were widely available, many older homes have no ductwork at all. To retrofit ductwork in an existing home requires taking away from space to make way for the ducts. Ceilings would be lowered or space would have to be carved out of the rooms. Unlike ducted systems, the footprint of a ductless system is very small.
HISTORIC ARCHITECTURE, INTACT
For many homeowners, part of the appeal of an older home is the architectural charm of older structures. A ductless solution will modernize the home while keeping the architectural integrity intact. The National Park Service (NPS) and Secretary of the Interior Standards and Guidelines for Rehabilitating Historic Buildings have recognized ductless systems for their ability to help maintain this historic character.
